This book is the first in this series and I LOVED it! Lots of ups and downs, two different races coming together, and a rollercoaster ending! Lyssa and King Kirill - what a ride they had! He chose her from the harem where she was placed after captured by King Attor.
The relationship changes and grows and so do the feelings...at least on Lyssa's part and when she discovers something that could bring a war about, she leaves King Kirill's palace to try to stop it (and the fact that she thought he was with another woman from the harem).
He tracks her down and takes her back to his palace. He also learns that she is carrying his child.
When the ship comes from the HIA, Lyssa is prepared to leave...but she doesn't really want to. King Kirill watches the tape of the two of them and learns that she loves him! SHE LOVES HIM! Well, what can he do but go and get her?
I absolutely loved the entire book but the last third of it was the best...highly entertaining!
I give this 5 stars and now am ready for the next book in this series!

Light hearted but serious shift romance with dangerous situations. I enjoyed it. Made me cry at a couple of points.
The Var are cat shifters who rule the south and the Draig are Dragon shifters who rule the north and are at war on the planet Qurilixen. Prince Kirill of the Var is a cat shape-shifter who becomes King after his father King Attor suddenly dies. Agent Ulyssa Payne of the HIA (Human Intelligence Agency) is sent to planet Qurilixen to stop biological weapons from destroying the planet. Ulyssa was captured by King Attor before his death and sent to his harem. King Kirill and Ulyssa fall in love and go on a quest to stop the war and help his people. I really enjoyed this paranormal science fiction romance novel.
