Michelle M. Pillow’s second book in her ‘Lord of the Var’ series is a delightful one. Prince Quinn lives up to the title of ‘playful’. Dr. Tori Elliot is a scientist that has come to the castle to test for biological weapons. Prince Quinn has taken a liken to the good doctor and wants to play around. But Dr. Tori takes her job seriously and would like to study the marshes as well. This is such an exciting adventurous, romantic suspense story that I had a hard time putting the book down. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
Var Prince Quinn is indeed playful and mischievous however he takes his duty as ambassador very seriously. It’s entertaining and amusing his distraction with the scientist Dr Tori Elliot. Tori is assigned a serious and fatal mission to help the Var people. The Black Crawl is a deadly black moss slowly spreading over the planet that will eventually kill all living creatures unless destroyed. The interaction between characters alone is hilarious and the misinterpretation of a teddy bear is hysterical. I love the happy ending. This author is incredibly amazing with her feel-good stories.
